Please see below message from Cardinia Shire Council:
Dear All,
The Premier has announced that Victoria will be placed into lockdown, effective from 8:00pm Thursday 5 August for a period of 7 days until 11:59pm Thursday 12 August.
For the full statement from the Premier visit:
https://www.premier.vic.gov.au/ For further information from DHHS on restrictions and exposure sites visit:
https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirusThe announcement of restrictions means the five reasons to leave your home has been reinstated and you must wear a mask at all times when leaving your home (unless you have an exemption):
Shopping for necessary goods and services
Caregiving or compassionate reasons
Authorised work or permitted education
Exercise (up to two hours, with one other person or members of your household)
Receive a vaccination
All Cardinia Shire Council sporting facilities and pavilions are closed from 8pm, Thursday August 8, for a period of 7 days until 11:59pm, Thursday August 12.
Council suggest that all clubs and user groups consider if club activities for tonight (Thursday August 8) should go ahead, in order to ensure restrictions are adhered to from 8pm tonight.
All Council and Community Asset Committee managed sporting pavilions will be closed and not available for any use from 8:00pm Thursday 5 August. This includes all seasonal, school and casual bookings. Council may access pavilions in the event of an emergency if required. With pavilion access no longer available, it is expected that all clubs and committees seek alternate options for committee meetings (virtual meetings).
Council’s strong advice for all Crown Land Reserve Committees of Management is to implement and follow these directions, which adhere state enforced restrictions to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
All sporting clubs are to follow advice from their local league and State Sporting Associations regarding community sport, however please note no clubs are permitted to return to any use, training or competition until the state government restrictions allow and Council has provided approval. No club members are permitted to enter any sports pavilions or club houses under any circumstances.
Thank you for your co-operation.
