Cardinia Shire Council - COVID-19 Update - 11 August 2021

11 Aug 2021 by Baxter Stickland

Please see the below update from Cardinia Shire Council.

Dear All,

The Premier has today announced that Victoria’s lockdown will be extended for a further 7 days. This means that the current settings will remain in place for Metropolitan Melbourne until 11:59pm, Thursday 19 August. For the full statement from the Premier visit: Read the Premier’s statement

For further information from DHHS on restrictions and exposure sites visit: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus

The five reasons to leave home remain in place.
You must also wear a mask at all times when leaving your home (unless you have an exemption):
Shopping for necessary goods and services
Caregiving or compassionate reasons
Authorised work or permitted education
Exercise (up to two hours, with one other person or members of your household)
Receive a vaccination

All of Cardinia Shire Council sporting facilities (including pavilions) remain closed until further notice.

With pavilion and club house access not available, it is expected that all clubs and committees continue to seek alternate options for committee meetings (virtual meetings).

All sporting clubs are recommended to continue to follow advice from their local league and State Sporting Associations regarding community sport, however please note no clubs are permitted to return to any use, training or competition until the state government restrictions allow and Council has provided approval. No club members are permitted to enter any Council buildings for any reasons.

Thank you for your cooperation.
